What Golfers say About Bonaventure Country Club
What's good about Bonaventure Country Club
Golfers tell us that the golf course has significantly improved over the years. It used to be in poor condition, but now it is considerably better. The greens are well-trimmed and rolled nicely. The fairways are in good shape and on par with other courses in the area. The tee boxes are above average. Although there are some areas that need attention, the overall experience is great. The course is challenging and not beginner-friendly, with lots of water and forced carries. Despite the improvements, pace of play can still be an issue on busy days. The course offers great value for the money, with fantastic conditions for the price. Overall, golfers appreciate the improvements made to the course and enjoy the challenging layout.
What Needs Improvement at Bonaventure Country Club
Golfers tell us that there are a few areas in which the golf course could use some improvement. Some of the greens require more attention, and the fairways are still a bit thin in some places. Many golfers have noticed that there are little rocks scattered throughout the bunkers, which can be quite challenging when trying to make a shot. Another point of concern is the left side of Hole 4, where there is a large burn pile that can be confusing for players. It would be helpful to have some signage to clarify this excavation project. Furthermore, the golf course is not considered beginner-friendly due to the presence of numerous water hazards and forced carries. This can result in lost balls and slow play, making it more challenging for inexperienced golfers. Despite the extensive renovations and improvements, the pace of play can still be an issue on busy days. The tee boxes and greens have seen a lot of traffic, with the greens appearing to be in need of punching. Additionally, the par 3 tee boxes are somewhat beaten up, and the course could benefit from having more restroom facilities available. While the staff generally receives positive feedback regarding their quality and friendliness, the facility itself is rated as fair to average. Overall, the course is in decent condition, but there is certainly room for improvement in several areas.
